For those of you who haven’t seen it, this is the link to my former blog from when we living out in the Simpson Desert with our three children. At that time we were managing one million acres spread over two stations, driving for a couple of hours over sand dunes just to get from one property to the other. I was home schooling Asha, Clay was four, and Zavier was just learning to walk at one. Bushfires hit the desert just after we did, and Al and extra staff spent two months battling them night and day. It seems another world we live in now, where I put my kids on the school bus in the morning, and drive down the road to do my placement for Uni. Soccer training and cubs filling our nights. Our life is so complex and full here, but somehow so simple at the same time.
