A Personal Review

What a lovely, honest and inspiring book. You write beautifully with careful insight into what to put in your story but more importantly what not to put in. I love your sense of adventure coupled with your strong environmental ethics and how you had those ethics challenged and shaped through the practicalities and harshness of living in a remote harsh environment. You made me laugh and cry and feel your pain especially with your postnatal depression. I think all mothers have degrees of this but yours was exacerbated by your isolation from people.
